My computer came with iTunes and as a result of a long story I didn't have it for awhile. Now I purchased an iPod last night and went today to download the newest version of iTunes. When I opened it, I got a pop up telling me that iTunes had encountered a problem and had to close. I tried a few times and got the same. I even went and uninstalled it then reinstalled and restarted my computer. I'm still getting the SAME message. Nothing at all comes up except that pop-up. Can anyone help at all please?

I'm sure everyone has gotten one of these messages at some point. It gives you the option of sending an error report to microsoft and such. Just one of those.

same thing happened to me. the problem is that your computer may not be able to handle stuff inside the newest version on i tunes. all you have to do is get an older version of i tunes.

p.s all the different versions of i tunes are pretty much the same

without being there in person, it's hard to tell.

Make sure you are running an OS that is compatible with the latest rev of iTunes.
