plug your ipod to your computer
on start menu, pick "my computer"
double click on your ipod (located on a drive letter)
double click iPod_Control
double click Music
Delete all folders

now your ipod is free of all music files
sync your ipod with new songs on your library

Every time you sync the Shuffle it automatically deletes and reloads it with different songs from your music library.

Here's the full Shuffle manual here:

set up an account with itunes(free) and plug the ipod into your computer. itunes should find the ipod right away... then click on the ipod link on the left hand side of your screen... it should say "model" ipod or something similar... but underneath that should say music. click music and it will pull up everything on your ipod... from there, right click and delete. hope I helped.
