I love my own bed at home... so the answer is simple....I feel very uncomfortable sleeping in other people's bed. And getting a good sleep during the first few night is just out of question. the night lamp, the color of the room.etc, . if nothing the silence will bother me.
and the second thing i feel embarrased about ... is answering to nature's call at someone's place... specially if we arent given separate living quaters with attached toilets...u see what i mean...
and third ly , i have to be friendly with everybody on that household.. even if i feel some are just ignoring my responses... my god...show fake friendlyness is not my cup of tea.

Being at someones house and staying there for a few days. I think I would have to hold my excrement in the whole time I was there.

All of the above. I mean even if you need to fart you should step outside, let alone use the crapper. There is always a can or 2 of air freshener in there. OH always remember the bowl of guest soap isn't really to be used it's decor. Give me a motel any day!!! *
