I quit drinking, then I lost the urge to drink. then I regained my family, and, more important, my self respect.

Define miracle? I've never had an extraordinary experience, but I don't think I need one to believe in God. I suppose every life is a miracle. everything is a sign of God
The person above me who apparently converted from islam to christianity- sorry i'm not trying to be close-minded but thats terrible. I mean christianity has divine influence, but I don't know what kind of terrible thing happened to convince you that God coulddo something so human as have a son, and that thereis more than one god, and all of the lies written by Paul in the Bible. No religion makes more rational sense than Islam. I am unendingly sorry for you. The truth is out there.

I had visions of Jesus. More than a couple of them. Interestingly I was a muslim when I had them so I am not one anymore.
Some people called them simple dreams, have you ever woke up and still could not move because of an electrical kind of a shock that makes you hard to breath for the next 10min after a simple dream.
A miracle for me? no, Lord reaches everyone that asks for him. But surely and extraordinary experiencefo me because when I see people asking questions like, "is there a God?" "What is the truth?" or comments like "God does not like me" or "there is no God at all", I just smile... Cause there is one and He even appeared to the ones who are simple people(like me) if He was called to be known.
I live in a muslim ocuntry and told people that even you burn all churches with all missionaries and bibles within, i will still follow Him. Because I am fully convienced and beleive to my eyes that He is the Lord!

well yes I have experience this weird stage during meditation twice once I was I felt I was communication with the high god but not trough words but feelings its hard to explain--once I saw a vision of this golden light coming from the sky I thought it was the sun but it was divine and it was beautiful --and when I go to sleep just in the state where the mind is half awake half asleep I see great landscapes, kingdoms of old, people I never seen before, I hear music that I never heard before I see shapes out of my mind and I pray and im thank full for theses visions but once I think of how great it is and think how lucky i am to see this they all go away so i found that if i humble myself in the presence of such things i am allowed to drift in the the blissfulness of that divine state of mind

blessed be I have!!
favorites...
I had a dream where my recently deceased grandfather told me to get away from the men in my life. They would steal my light. I broke up with my bf of 3 years the next day-my bday. A month later my husband/best friend/soul mate asked me out -- that was 10 years ago!! He builds the flames!
My mom passed away of an aneurism unexpectedly when I was 34 weeks pregnant. We did not know the sex of our baby. 2 days before she passed she had a dream that she was in a garden with our son. It was raining but she didn't get wet. she described EVERY detail of my son to the priest and to myself.
My brother took his life on Nov 7. I don't think he meant to succeed. I am not an insomniac, but I stayed up the entire night downloading mp3 that make me think of him. He recently came to me in a dream and told me how to spend his life insurance policy. I told him that as it was a suicide it wasn't going to work. I just found out he was right.
Ever given birth? That in itself is a miracle! Ever disappointed a friend/lover/parent and yet they still love you? That is a miracle!

yes i do . my mother was very ill with cancer. newly discovered but told it was terminal. she was asked to take part in a new treatment using cobolt radiation at princess margret hosp in toronto. the first vist there was to see the doc who would be doing this and to have it explained to her as well to make a mask of her face.
my brother my mom and me went to the hosp. it was agreed that i would take her to and from the treatments and there was going to be 10 more vists to the hosp after that. further more she was going to stay at my place while this was going on.,
when we were in a small simple room with the doctor and i think the other person was a nurse but she could have been a doctor too i dont know anyway we all sat and listened to the doc speak about this treatment and all the things that have to do with it.
as he was speaking an angel of the lord appeared in the room
i saw the angel only for what seemed a short time. this angel was very tall taller then the ceiling . i could not see the angels head as it was beyond the ceiling at least that is why i think i didnt see it. i will tell you it was an angel with wings and from looking at lots i mean lots of pics of paintings of angels done paintied by people from this time and years ago this angel looked most like the angel i saw a pic of called ark angel micheal.
the instant i no longer saw the angel i said in a load voice " I JUST SAW AN ANGEL" my mother instantly replied SO DID I.
the doctor took this all in stride and said lots of people say that in this room and the continued on with his talk about this machine and all. my brother the doc and the other person the woman did not see the angel. they took my mom away to make this mask thing and my brother said to me sandy you know mom it palative and i said yes. i had tears in my eyes.
i had the tears in my eyes not so much because i had just stated that mom was dying but more because of having seen this angel.
i asked my mom later on as she got worse this was brain cancer if she remembered the angel and even though at that moment or just prior to it she was somewhat confussed she replied in a clear voice and with complete clarity of mind yes i remember.
my mom did die . i was never given to thinking she was not going to die . i believe she saw the angel of the lord to comfort her. i think i saw it to stenghten me as it was up to me i mean me to care for my mom bath and so on .
i am more sure both me and my mom saw that angel then i am that i am sitting her typing away at a computer.
my mother told me years before when her father a minister was in hosp dying he told her he had seen two angels at the foot of his bed one time and he died soon there after.
my grandfather was a minister my mom a minister daugther she married a minister. so i am the son of a minister . and my brother is a minister. i dont tell you this so that you will see that she and i both have many years of faith and involment in the church.
niether her nor i were ever given to imagine things that were not there .
this is the truth .

With no offense meant regarding your spelling ( I too have problems)
Might not you, or anyone consider that one of the most glorious "Miracles" is to wake each day, drawing ones first breath???

i have had many extraordinary experiences.
The word miracle brings up religious connotations for me, so i guess is more difficult to answer.
Look at the world around you, you see something special every day, weather you notice it is up to you!
