EVERYWHERE! Taiwan has the best food in Asia. You can try food at the street markets, Night markets, and for a little change at the Buddhist restaurants (with a swastika) which offer only vegetarian food buffet style. Most of them you get a sample of everything (including what looks like meat, tastes like meat, but isn't) then at register you put your food on a scale and pay by weight. Usually it comes to around 100NT.

Iowa. I am making a HUGE pot of chili. Made some soft shell tacos earlier.
Have some beef jerky and chocolate chip cookies that were made yesterday.
Come on over, we have plenty to eat...but put on your snow tires--we are in the middle of a snow storm right now.

if you are in Taiwan, try looking in a magazine called 'Compass" magazine. It lists alot of different styles of cuisine.
check out http://www.taiwanfun.com for a bilingual listing of various restaurants they have reviewed.
I can't guarantee its good food- all the reviews were paid for, but it can help give you a few ideas to try.
