After installing kboot and running the Fedora Core installer using the install-fc command the installer skipped over the Cell Linux Addon portion and said "installation failed" after reboot we get the kboot prompt again

Sorry i havent done it yet, so i can't help you. I know how annoying it is for people to take the time to answer your question and make some smart remark instead of helping....i saw the other guy do it so i responded as well, in turn making myself a hypocrite....sorry about that....
back to topic...have you tried Yellow Dog? I hear it's pretty easy to set up.
