I attended a holiday party at a home I have never been to. The home was beautiful, the food superb.

Thank the people for inviting you. Compliment them on their lovely home, and say that you enjoyed the delicious food -- be specific -- if there was a dish that you especially liked, say that. Tell them that you enjoyed meeting their family/friends/neighbors, or whoever was at the party. Wish them all the best for 2007 and you're in there with the perfect thank-you note! thank you Mr an Mrs ............. I was very honored to have been invited to your Christmas party. I enjoyed your home it was very elegant and tastefully displayed holiday cheer. I also enjoyed ......... it was wonderful , the entire menu in that matter was but ........ will stick in my palate for a long time. Hope you and your family have a wonderful new year. and once again thank you for your hospitality during the holiday season.
