Nope, I don't believe in God, or the afterlife, or any of that make believe stuff.
If other people want to believe then good for them.

hey guys don't criticize that man just because he asked that question, he must've asked it because of the British anthem "God Save the Queen". Well you cannot say all the British people believe in God that's a question apart some people Do and other Don't ,and things are like that definitely around everywhere!!!!!!!! :) but next time be careful before posting a question on here 'coz when you're broadcasting yourself you'll always have to deal with ignorant people like those on here.

I'm just proud to be a citizen of (as far as I'm aware) one of the most inclusive societies about. Having had a more than slightly dodgy colonial past and joined in with the other Christian powers in slaughtering "unbelievers" back in the day too, I just hope that most of us realise that a belief in the existence of God (or not) if one of the fundamental beliefs. There is no point in trying to convince an adherent of one view to the other as you'll be talking different languages. Just find a level you can communicate on, enjoy each others company and try to avoid doing anything you'll feel bad about - trust your conscience.
I'm British and don't believe in God, to give you a short anecdotal answer!

By far the majority of British people believe in God, however, in the days of the British Empire there were many different races that obtained the status of British subjects, so if you can name a religion in the world then there will likely be British subjects that follow the beliefs of that specific religion.
Then, of course, there will also be the normal percentage of Agnostics and Athiests.

In a recent survey 70% of the British population declared that they were Christian. Now according to some only 40% of them believe in God?

It should be "Do ...?" not is.
A person's religion is not directly related to their citizenship. Some British people, but not ALL of them believe in God. Just like some Americans believe in God, some do not.
To each his own...

Actually the world is a surprisingly religious place. I dont have many friends who belive in ANY religion as we are witnessing the seeds of destruction it keeps sowing. I hope the UK isnt so blind as to believe but free will is still highly respected and i respect religion (or at least the ideas it has). freedom is becoming attached to a price tag. I dont believe in a saviour. I can stand by myself and will take eternal damnation on my own head if need be. At least I tried to make my own way.

British people can choose individually whether they believe in God, or not.
It is somewhat unfortunate that some religious dictatorships, such as Saudi Arabia and Iran, do not permit such freedom of choice. Such regimes may be decribed as Islamo-fascist.
