I have been to many new years eve parties and i have seen, red, black, dark blue, purple, green, gold, silver, MY self, i like the red, there are more accessories that you could wear with it. Note, the short dresses, knee length is in this year.

For a party you should wear something pretty, eligent and fun, silver with sparkels and some blue you could wear nice jeans and a really pretty blouse, light pink and/or dark olive green, that's what I wore last night. It worked great.

If it's formal, black is always good, but for New Year's Eve you can really be daring and go with whatever color combinations you like.

Wear bright colors, rhinestones, sparkles, satin, pink, blue, green, purple, yellow, red, glitter, dramatic stuff.
