I used to play role playing games as a teenager during the late 1980's. Do thirty year olds play it?

Yes, they still play at the local level and large conventions,

DragonCon is a large convention I have been to where they hold
competition play.

I work too much to play with a group, but currently play WOW online as a RPG.

Current D&D is different than it was back in the 80's though. Used to be more free form play with the dungeon master having a lot more leeway to make up the story as you went a long.

A good DM is really the key to a good game, the books should really act more as guides rather than the rule of Law.

My age, I'm 42

I used to play D&D with a 29-year-old and a 48-year-old. A classic never goes out of style.

Based upon the huge popularity of computer RPGs and MMORPGs that are based on D&D or are similar, I would have to say yes.

I'm sure there are a few groups of Pen & Paper players as well, but the computer scene is where the real "action" is.
