That's a great question, as far as I know, no one drinks dog milk just because puppies do. I've also wondered about the first person who figured out it was okay to eat tomatoes off a plant, but cotton bolls off a plant were better made into clothes?

You know, human females nurse their infants, so do cows...not a huge leap, right?
Ancient agriculture and animal husbandry are interesting to consider... These are on the list of 10,000 items to consider when there is nothing to do... :-))
Hmm, why eat eggs? Because we saw animals do it...

The cow's baby, perhaps?
It gave nourishment to the calf, so why wouldn't it give nourishment to humans?
Humans used to follow animals because it seems that the animals know more than the humans do... Which is sometimes true...
Plus, I bet people from back then (when they didn't have such luxurious things as many of us have these days) so they tried to be as efficient as possible.

LOL I have always wondered that too!
... and people who said that calfs drink cows milk so why not humans? Well... for one, we aren't cows. Second, dogs also nurse their young... why not drink dog milk???? Yum yum!
(but, even with that being said.... I sure do love milk!!)
