We are having a bilzzard & several people are putting their winshield wipers in the up position-WHY?

So they wont be damaged when you scrape off your windshield or stick to your windshield which can damage them if you pull them off frozen

usually put in that position so that they will not freeze to the windshield and be a real pain to bust loose

If you look closely, you'll probably see they have a little block holding them off the window too, so they won't freeze to it.

easier to unstick when frozen to the windshield afterwards.
