First of all, you are only 55. You have at least 25 years left if you're healthy. Second of all the people of your time caused the global warming we are suffering from now. Also, im curious to know if you've ever done anything other than sit back and enjoy it, because it doesn't sound like you have. What kind of question is this?

I'm using the A/C whenever I please; I drive one of two SUVs I own, and I only turn off the lights when I'm tired of having them on.
I don't believe in global warming, and, since I didn't have kids, I feel free to buy and enjoy anything I can afford...including heating oil, gasoline, electric power and wood products.
Let the next generation (for whom we supplied first cars, dental insurance, education and housing till the age of 25) figure out what to do. They owe us.

Well, I think you should do what you can not to further global warming, but otherwise, what's the use of feeling guilty and crappy about it for the rest of your life? Enjoy your life--just don't forget the rest of us still have a ways to go on this planet. Thanks! :)

havent you sons or grandsons?
what kind of place are we leaving to them??
Why dont care about the future in spite of we'll not be part of it???
we have the obligation to care the earth for them.......and they have the right to get it clean and safe.
you have enjoyed it till 55.............havent they the right to do the same or more?

Only if you do not have children you love. This is serious and it's real. The fact that we lie to ourselves and pretend it's not will not prevent it from ruining our world. I would rather meet my maker knowing I did what I could to prevent this, than do nothing.
