Don't panic, it makes it worse. I can only tell you that molecules are small. Go to www.google.com and type in molecule and see if you can't find something there. Sorry I can't help you. Good Luck.

DNA is made out of parts called nucleotides.
You have to make a bunch of nucleotides and then fasten them together into the double helix.
Each nucleotide can be a bent piece of pipe cleaner that looks like an "L" with a bead in the middle where the pipe cleaner bends, a pompon at one end, and a lump of clay at the other end. After you make a bunch of nucleotides, lay them out on the table so the Ls on one side of the ladder are headed one way and the Ls on the other side of the ladder are headed the opposite way. Maybe let the clay lumps represent the bases, so pairs of clay lumps that face each other will be in the middle of the steps of the ladder. Then the sides of the ladder will alternate: pompon - bead - pompon - bead.

If you have four colors of clay or can paint the clay, you can make colors match in two pairs (red with green and yellow matching blue, for instance) Glue everything together and give the ladder a slight twist.

do this:
-take two of the pipe cleaners parallel to each other
-mark out proper distances for the nucleotides and fix the beads to the pompons and tie them all on.(just remember to get a ladder-like structure)
-then twist the ladder to form a helical structure.
-tighten any lose pompons by fixing with the clay. decorate as necessary

voila!!

hope this'll help u a bit

Although, I can't give you specific directions on how to build a DNA model here's a website that does.....

I hope this helps!
