I saw some of those MasterLock challenges and he actually looked like he really mangled or possibly hurt some of those fans who got out of their seats and into the ring for it. I know Chris was offering money for anyone who could break it, even an autographed football one time, but given that they were fans with no wrestling experience, I'd figure that they'd still get something for their troubles of getting mangled like that on National TV.

No, they're "plants", all rehearsed.

The only time The Master Lock Challenge was legitimate was the recent Tribute to the Troops. The rest of the time, the WWE provides the "challengers," who are snuck to the seat Chris Masters sees them in prior to the segment.

Its just like when Ted DiBiasie had his challenges, most famously the kid bouncing the ball, everyone is picked beforehand and Im sure given something for their time. It would be way too risky to let a random person from the crowd get into the ring...lawsuit waiting to happen, lol

wwe wouldn't let chris master's masterlock get broken by someone who's not a wrestler. that would be throwing his career down the drain. so they put people that work for wwe to volenteer/get chosen for the masterlock challenge in civilian clothing so they fit in. so in otherwards yes they get an "award" but it's not for taking the challenge it's for working for WWE.

They aren't random fans. They are indy wrestlers probably from around the area they were in. They also use indy wrestlers as security also. Also on ECW this year, the people in the audience wearing costumes were indy wrestlers also. Therefore they did get some money for doing it.

its all set up. they predetermine who is gonna go in the ring and the person that goes in is told to "sell" the move. i don't think that a swinging full nelson hurts as much as they make it seem on tv if at all. its all set up before the show is aired. and he probably got a compensation of some sort.
