I'm going to start my answer telling you that my knowledge is based solely off of the Discovery Science Channel's documentary I saw about 3 years ago and the fact that it all makes sense to me:
Women have come to be built to deny sperm. Let's start with walking upright. Then with internal the shape of the vagina and cervix. The way a woman constricts while orgasming lead the research team to believe that even *that* was a way for the woman to expel semen. I'm getting foggy on the other reasons, but there was an entire hour of film there. It even went into how often women naturally miscarry, and that it happens so often that she typically doesn't know - like being a "few days late" maybe.
It was interesting. I'd like to be able to catch it again some time.
After seeing just how miraculous conceiving and birth really is, I'd have to say that no, conception does not rely on a woman's climax... but it does heavily rely on gazillions of other tiny miracles and coincidences though!

Yes. Orgasm assists with the flow of fluids in the right direction, but it's quite possible for a woman to concieve without the big O. Of course, it's more enjoyable when both partners reach climax.

A woman can still conceive even if she doesn't orgasm. Whether or not a woman achieves orgasm does not a affect her chances of conceiving. As long as she is ovulating there shouldn't be any problems.

Absolutly. Womens orgasms mean nothing when it comes to getting pregnant, the only one who needs to c um is the man- your job is to ovulate.

While orgasm does help with conception by pushing the sperm in the right direction, it is not a necessary component.
