yep, they are living off of us! And it sucks. But, what can you do? There is alot more sorry asses out there than honest working folk. So, yea, they are going to take advantage of that. The question that I would like answered is......why do most of them drive nice cars with 26" rims on them? They have the money for that, but the rely on us to pay their bills. They live better off of our money than we do. You are not alone, alot of people are pissed off because of this crap... To the sorry asses out there, "GET A JOB AND STOP BEING A FREELOADER!!!"

Yes, this is very disappointing. I believe the only welfare cases supported now a days are those that involve children. No child chooses to be born to someone who likes being on welfare. No child wants to be born into poverty. If my taxes have to help support children caught up in this, so be it. Let's help those children get an education to break the cycle.

Good news! You don't have to fit the bill for welfare abusers. You have at least 3 choices.

1. Move to a place without welfare
2. Move to a place without taxes
3. Reconsider terms like "welfare abusers," unless you also use "corporate welfare," "tax loopholes," "subsidies,""foreign aid," "research and development".

because your current govt is run by a bunch of liberals including heir bush who enjoy taking your money and spending 80% of it on more govt bureaucrats who then dole out the other 20% to those whom they deem need it the most.

A better questions is why do we have a Federal Welfare Program? Or why do the feds take my tax dollars and spend them in other states for things besides transportation and public safety? State and local welfare are one thing. At least I know my tax dollars are being spent some what locally.

We shouldn't pay the people who refuse to do anything for themselves if the government will give them a free ride. The entire welfare system needs serious work, if not a complete overhaul, to start anew and make sure only those who need the help get it until they can support themselves again.

There are people who need legitimate help. They are not the problem. States need to do more about welfare fraud. That costs millions. Your tax dollars are spent on a ton of things you'd probably be mad about if the government you the truth.

well do you want to pay for people that aren't ready to be parents, or allow abortion?
it would be awful nice if people didn't have sex until they were financially prepared to take care of the obligation of offspring, but that isn't reality is it?

I suggest, if you know someone who is abusing the welfare system, report them.

That's tragic, you moan and cry about some single mother without a pot, but never a word about the corporate welfare that's keeping the oil and drug companies in caviar, can you please reexamine your priorities.

Because..hopefully, the majority of those people are not abusers of the system. You can not just do away with it...what if someday YOU need it?
