As an investor who constantly looks for property, a GOOD agent is invaluable. A BAD agent is a disaster. Agents have the MLS which lists bank REO's. Some banks will even email you a list of properties before they are turned over to FANI/FREDI to be listed.

It depends on what State you live in. But, any HUD broker can automatically send you every foreclosed listing directly to your e-mail address. Any good Realtor would be happy to help you, and since the Seller pays the Realtor's Commission, you have nothing to lose. I'm an Ohio Realtor.

sure. it's called your local county treasurers office. (or assessors office as the case may be).
