No, no, my friend. Men are just more sneaky about how they do it. They are just as devious! Trust me.. I used to work in an auto parts store.

An interesting question. I've often wondered the same thing. It's where the old bit of wisdom comes in: "a misogynist is a man who hates women as much as women hate other women."
Honestly, my only guess is that most men still follow undefined rules of conduct passed down by their fathers (becoming more and more scarce with each generation). Men compete with each other all the time, but there's competition and then there's "dirty pool," i.e., actions that are beyond the pale, dishonorable, and earn you scorn.
To my knowledge, women don't operate under these restrictions. And if there's anything I know about humans, it's that absent restrictions, they tend to act their worst.
That's just my thoughts on the subject for what they're worth.

I'm afraid that our society through its media advertising and other communications does a good job of trying to make all of us feel less that complete and worthy. Unfortunately, we have raised the art of the put down to a high form. Even our signs of inclusion often come in the form or teasing. So much of our attempts to make ourselves feel better are accomplished through what I call elevation by ditch digging. Rather that take the time to accomplish something, we dig a little out from under the other person to give ourselves the high ground. They in turn dig out from under us and before you know it we're both in a hole.
It's time we recognized that we each have talents and gifts and that we should honor and celebrate those talents and gifts. This societal obsession with finding #1 is leading us into nothing but trouble. The other day I answered a question: "Catherine Zeta Jones or Salma Hayek?" In response I asked why we needed to decide who was better looking amoung two women who are each beautiful in their own right? What kind of person needs the answer to such a question? Can't we just celebrate the beauty for what it is, without creating a hierarchy?
We can begin to make our world a better place through small kindnesses. Through working with each other and celebrating each other we can grow to be stronger. Competition builds anymosity and distrust. We've had enough, we deserve something better.

Yes, you are very right. As if it isn't bad enough having men tear women down, now women are joining in. It is appaulling and disgraceful that some women can be so foul and vile towards each other. Women should be supportive and give one another encouragement. No wonder so many women's self esteem is at rock bottom. Take care : )

Among young women, it seems to be competition for men. Even when men aren't around, it's possible to make a girl feel so bad that her self-esteem will suffer and she will be less competition in the future.
I have been much more successful in forming friendships with women who are either much older or somewhat younger than myself. Since we're not in the same bracket, we aren't threatened by each other. In contrast, my cousin's wife, who is closer to my age, is actually jealous of the attention he gives me (even though we only see each other about once a year).

This is part of the female psyche..
Most women kiss with their eyes closed..
Most men kiss with their eyes open.
Most men watch porn..
Most women do not watch porn..
Men are more aggressive.
Women are less aggressive.
Men want to leave bed after sex..
Women want to snuggle/cuddle after sex.
Women lose themselves in the moment of a deep kiss.
Men start feeling around for something more during a deep kiss.
Women are beautiful, wonderful mysterious creatures.
Women are Gods gift to Man.
Women are girls and need to be cared for..

I don't know. It is a strange thing.
I think it is based on jealousy and that pretty girls get ripped apart more than others.
I think with women it is more out front and open and men sabotage each other in different less obvious ways.

Men compete. They get to be the alpha male by being bigger, faster, stronger. Women aren't necessarily physical like that, so we compete with words and emotions. In both women and men it is still survival of the fittest.

Our society teaches women to see each other as competition. A similar question to ask is why do so many women fail to develop platonic, adult relationships with other women?

I agree with you... I would rather work with men.
I think that when women feel insecure, they feel "threatened" by other females. Therefore, to trash someone else makes them look better. (they think)
