who is better lbj or dirk why?

LBJ by far! He's more athletic, faster, stonger, can score, defend, rebound, be a playmaker (passer), is an outstanding leader and makes everyone else around him better. Not to take away from Dirk though. He provides a hell of a matchup problem on the defensive end, but realistically, he a 7'0, 240! Outside of his shooting, what can he give you that Kenyon Martin can't, or Marcus Camby, or Antonio McDyess??? His height and shooting ability is all he has going for him. Other than his ability to knock down shots, he useless. He's not much of a rebounder, can't defend and can't handle the ball. He cant play inside because he too small and too soft! Face it. If he was the 3 inches shorter and could not knock down shots, he'd be completely useless. His jump shot is all he has on King James.

LBJ. Has Dirk ever revolutionized the game like the King has? Maybe overseas, but LBJ has just taken the league into his own hands, as he's been a revelation in the league. Dirk is good, but I think he couldn't hold a match to King James.

LBJ is the better player because he is a better all around player than Dirk is. Dirk is a great shooter and offensive treat but he is a liability on defense. Lebron makes big plays on offense and defense and is the leader of his team on both ends of the court not jus one like Dirk

It depends on what you mean. Dirk is easily the best pure shooter in the NBA, he's 7 foot, and getting stronger starting to play a bit of defense and rip down rebounds. He has little handles but is quick enough to beat big men and tall enough to shoot over shorter guards, he's very difficult to guard. James is a more marketable player being from the USA, he's more explosive and has incredible handles and dunks that can change the momentum of the game, Nowitzki is on the better team and is no where near as explosive, however he puts points on the board, James has more assists but less points. Overall I believe Nowitzki is the better player
