a friend of mine just got in a wreck , i mean just now in front of my house while coming to my house...i feel bad for her, i went out there to check on her and her neck is hurt and she is having panic attacks, her kids were with her - both seem to be fine, i told her that they were ok and if she needs me for her oldest daughter to call me, i didnt feel like i should stay out there in the middle of all of what was going on with ambulances, police, and also 2 other cars involved, so i went back in my house....am i bad friend or what shoulld i have done...i hate drama...of any kind....i will call and check on her in a while after they have gone thru the emergency room ordeal...i'm not heartless, i know they are physically almost ok....

Everyone is different...I probably would have stayed until someone told me to leave, but that's me. I won't call you a bad person for not sticking around if you couldn't handle it. Just make sure you keep in touch.

If your staying out there would have made things worse then you should leave the scene. It's not your fault you can't handle serious situations without falling apart. Comforting the kids is just too much to ask of anyone.

I don't think you did enough. I would have stayed with the friend to try to calm her down and keep an eye on the kids. Those children have to be frightened seeing their mom hurt like that.

When this is all over, you'll probably be short one friend, if she has any sense. Nobody likes drama, but friends are people who stick by us when it goes down.

NO your not a bad friend as long as you did all you could and it dosen't matter if she was on her way to your house
