We have a group going to Vegas this summer. My husband and I have both been (he's been about 5 times, I've been 3 times.) None of the rest of the group has been. We know all the free attractions to show them (the fountains, Freemont Street, etc.) but we haven't ever done much of the club scene in Vegas. Where should we be sure to go as far as nightclubs. I want all of our friends to have a great Vegas experience. Where should we check out? What are the hippest clubs in Vegas right now? Any suggestions or advice is greatly appreciated!

My favorite club in Vegas is definitely the Voodoo Lounge on top of the Rio - they have reasonably priced drinks and the lines aren't usually too long. It's also one of the few clubs you can sit down at without paying for an overpriced table. The panoramic view of the city is to die for. The crowd is usually 30 - 35 yrs old. Try the witch doctor... it's almost $30 but is all one person will need to go from sober to hammered in one drink...it comes with multiple straws! Ghostbar at the Palms is great as well - but expect at least an hour wait since there is only one elevator to bring the many masses of people up there. If you're looking for an upscale place to go, try Light at Bellagio - but dress to impress if you expect to get in - this is definitely one if the 'nicest' clubs in Vegas. Tryst at Wynn Las Vegas proves to be a good time as well - but you'll be paying top dollar for your drinks. Consider 'Club M' at Sunset Station just a few miles from the strip if you'd like to party with the locals. Hope this helps - Have a Great Time in the best city in the world!! Also - for about $100 you can get a club hopper pass - this will save you waiting in long lines and also waives the cover charge - they're available all over town or at www.vegas.com

Voodoo lounge at Rio/ Body English at Hard Rock/ Playboy at Palms .also try the Doubledown Saloon; its the quirky,eclectic dive bar that MUST be experienced if you want to say you have done Vegas. Only one thing about that place, ASSJUICE will get you hammered and the rule there is, You Puke, You Clean! Have fun and tip your bartender.

I agree with KK. Club promoters are everywhere. If you're with a bunch of cute girls they will approach you and put you on their list. If you're fat and ugly, forget it - get in line early and expect to pay a cover. If you want to go to a club located in the Palms hotel, hang out and walk around at the Palms during the day or get dressed up and go to dinner there. If you get skanky they will come.
