i read this article on yahoo news (sorry i can't find it now) and they did a study and found that people with children are less happy than people without children, and they have more stress

obviously this doesn't mean ALL people with kids, but just statistically as a whole. what do ya think? this convinces me more that i'm right about not wanting kids.

All I can say is I can see the truth in this survey. I lived in NYC where only one of my friends had a kid. Now I live in another state where everyone has like four kids each. The supermarkets and restaurants are full of brats screaming and crying and parents stressing for them to pipe down. I'm so glad I didn't have children. I never intend to. You can't go places at the spur of the moment (because you've got to find a babysitter and then pay $100 to go out for the evening). You can't buy the things you want because kids are so expensive, etc. No way. Personally, I'm never doing it. As for you, as you get older you may change your mind. Just think it through with a sober mind. Don't romanticize it.

I have gave Birth to two boys that are 11 and 14 now.
My life with them was great, and i would not have give it up for anything
Last year their dad took them and moved and I am not sure where they are.
That was really hard to deal with and tried on a few occasions to take my life.

The experiences that you go threw make you who you are.
Do I wish I never had kids... yes because the pain of that was horrible and wish it on no one
But I would not be where I am if it was not for the experience, am I glad I had Kids... yes

I don't have kids either, but I think, if I did, my opinion would be based on how many little darlin's I had, their ages, and what I had accomplished regarding their manners. If I had done a fairly good job, and all else being "right", ie: you have to allow for babies being babies, I would enjoy having them; in general I don't dislike kids personally, I just don't have a long patience span. Baby sitting never solves that, but I WOULD NEVER hurt a kid or allow anyone else to hurt a kid if I could help it.

I have 2 kids and a grandchild and I do not regret one bit having kids. Yes you have stress but you have stress in your every day life even without kids. When you have kids they are your life. If you ever have any you will understand. They are the light of your life.

My daughter makes me happier then ANYTHING in this entire world could make me. The unconditional love she has for me means more to me then i can explain. I couldnt ever be this happy with out my daughter. But then there comes the times when i just wanna go out for a drink and laugh with friends but shes 6 months old and breastfed.... i cant drink and still have her eat so i guess it depends on what time of day you talk to me... right now its im more happy when i have her and shes around. I wouldnt ever trade her for the world though no matter what time of day it is!!!!

That means that people have children without true commitment to the family.
Those that have a true commitment say
the joy outweighs the stresses.

Yes, having kids is very stressful - but the rewards far outweigh the stresses. The first time your baby smiles at you, the first time he or she puts their arms around your neck, just looking at them while they sleep....there are so many moments to cherish. I wouldn't trade it for anything.

P.S. My husband didn't like children until we had one - and he became a wonderful father.

People are not raising their kids as God desires them to. Children are not receiving the correct training or discipline as they ought to be. Parents need to be at home more often. If you are going to have kids, raise them biblically.
