Sharlene.........
Take Note!

" I AM WORTH MORE......I DESERVE MORE"

Tell yourself that everyday until you believe it. When you believe it and believe in yourself. Then tell it to your husband.

I did that, Guess what? He finally apologized,
but for me it was too little too late. That is what he realized as well.

Coming from a guys perspective there's absolutely NO reason to physically hurt a woman, as far as abusive yelling, same thing, repetitive "hurt" is not normal or right, but we all go through peaks and valleys, so maybe he's feeling the same thing from you, "how close someone is is also how much we (can) hurt one another" because there's lots of complex feelings and emotions involved. Nobody's perfect, but it's hard to get marriage counseling on Yahoo Answers too, if it gets bad there's lots of free help available for this type of thing.

it is only the people you love who can truly hurt you, oh some stranger may make you feel bad about yourself but, they really can not hurt you emotionally because you don't have a bond with them. maybe when you feel hurt by your husband, ask your self what can i do to change the way he sees me so he won't think it is OK to hurt me.
if you allow people you love to hurt you they will see nothing wrong with it, but if you set the standard, and say you are not allowed to do this to me, i am more important than that, and if you don't think i am, then you are not worth it, i don't need someone who has no consideration for my feelings, maybe if he thinks you respect yourself more than to be treated like that he will try to think of your feelings before doing or saying things that he knows will hurt you.

I know this feeling also! But it is my husband and my son who keep hurting me! With words mainly but my son some of his actions were hurtful but not physically! I just think that I love them no matter what and there isn't alot I can do about the way they hurt me!! Are you by chance, a Cancer ? I ask because I am- and if you know the instances for Cancer we are nurturers! So that's my excuse!! Good Luck!

You care about those people the most, and value their opinions the most, so they will be the ones that will hurt you more than others will. I know that it is hard, but try to stay positive, and good things will happen.

Because you love them and know that you wouldn't do the same to them. We don't give much thought to what other people do or say because we really don't care about them or their opinions. If someone that you love and respect is damaging your self esteem, then that is more hurtful. We respect their opinions, but if their opinion of us is poor, then that means that we aren't respecting ourselves. Our self worth is being compromised and that's not cool.

"You always hurt the ones you love" and you are the closest target. Stand up for yourself and stop letting him hurt you.
