yes, frequent trips to the bathroom are common in early pregnancy. Your body is working more effeciently during pregnancy. That causes it to eliminate waste more efficently too!

I don't know why some people said that going to the loo frequently is only later on in pregnancy - that happens too, but it definitely is one of the early signs - particularly with a first baby (as I guess this is). With my first I experienced it just around the time when I should have got my period. I also remember planning to go for a run, and then feeling that there was something heavy low in my abdomen by my bladder, and that perhaps I should be careful!
I went to the doc at 35 days and he confirmed my pregnancy. I didn't find the symptoms so obvious with my next two pregnancies.
I think you should either do a home test or go see your doctor on Tuesday!
All the best!

I am 7 weeks pregnant tomorrow, and i will say that i have every symptom you have, do you feel bloated? i would say that it sound very likely you are pregnant, take a test if it says negative wait and do another 48 hours after, if that is still negative and you still have all the symptoms go to the dr's. I will say though that the 5th week of my pregnancy i got an infection in the neck of my bladder aqnd that made it feel as if my bladder was never empty, and it felt full even when nothing would comeout it has subsided now and i still need to go to the loo more but dont feel the pressure of needing to go o much and i can empty it properly, take a test then go to dr's he may say you have a urine infection, it is very common in pregnancy.
Hope this helps sweetie. x x
I wish you all the best for 2007 and that you get the answer you are looking for.

I had all those same feelings when I was pregnant and I spent the whole 9 months on the toilet, as soon as I got off sometimes I just had to turn round and go straight back in, I couldn't even get to the local shops without stopping for a wee it was awful in an inconvenient kind of a way - I think both my kids sat on my bladder and bounced around for fun, also as you get bigger there is more pressure on your organs and that can mean that your tubes from your bladder get slightly squashed so its harder to empty your bladder hence the feeling that you need the loo all the time - so get that test done and Good Luck and Happy New Year!!!

Im having my 4th child and I have not had to use the restroom alot until around my 8th week or so. The other symptoms you are having could be signs, but I never had backaches. I dont know about that. I did much later in pregnancy. But not early. My signs were always, sore breasts(except for this last pregnancy) and around week 6 and 7 I would start getting severe morning sickness. Those were the only signs I had. THe other symptoms came much later. If you are getting symptoms a test would work right now. Good Luck and happy new year.

If you don't even know if you're pregnant or not, then it's way too early for you to be having frequent urination as a result of a pregnancy. That's months away when the baby is large enough to start pressing on your bladder.
The baby also isn't nearly large enough yet to be causing backaches or really any of the symptoms you mentioned other than perhaps the nausea. The rest are also months down the road -- not in the beginning stages.

You wee loads, no set time but just more regularly than normal, the fact that you are aware of it means you must be going more often. I had a really bad stomach cramp almost like a stitch in my first few weeks of pregnancy. Other signs are not liking foods that you do normally and noticing things taste different - almost metallic. You also become forgetful and very tired. I hope you are though, what a lovely way to begin the new year, good luck!

needing to wee more is usually a symptom of being farther along in the pregnancy than early on. Its usually brought on by the fact that the baby is growing a great deal and is resting on your bladder, liver, etc... and thereby squishing it and making it smaller, so that you have to go more often. This is the greatest relation between having to 'go' more and being pregnant. headaches aren't really pregnancy related, but nausea can quite possibly be. but since you're on the pill you may be having a reaction to it, or its likely something else. Being on the pill means that reactions can easily be misinterpreted as symptoms of pregnancy.

my urges for the toilet were one of the first things i noticed, especially at night time... alot of broken sleep. as for the feeling of weight on the bladder... that shouldnt come in until you are at least 20 weeks when the baby is a decent size.
I would strongly advise you DO a pregnancy test, just to put your mind of rest, cos with all those symptoms, it looks like you are!!! if it comes back positive book to see your gp so they can tell you how far gone you are and that will give you time to think about what you really want. Good luck hun

Sounds like you are pregnant. But to make sure take a home pregnancy test, then go to your doctor to make sure! Yes, when you are pregnant, you will be peeing A LOT. The first trimester and last! Good, luck. And if you aren't pregnant, you might have a Bladder Infection if you feel pressure to pee a lot. I would just go to the doctor to get checked out! Good Luck again and Happy New Years!!!!
