I read how many flaws the ipod creates. I have experience a few of mine own. What can we as consumers do to protect us from purchasing goods that create nothings than troubles? Is there a way for us to get this taken care of??

To those brown noser's and wise asses. I have had several MP 3 players in my life time.
I used to have the Samsung YP55 it was alright, but did not have great sound quality and not enough capacity to put songs on.

I had RIA athletic MP3 player, it unfortunley broke when I went mountain hiking. I accidently dropped it and it fell off. I would rate this one a 4 stars. I was happy with it.

I gave another MP3 player away to a friend in England can't remember that brand, I would have to ask her. She loves it, I hated it.

Now, I am on my second Ipod. My first one, third generation unfortunley broke. Had nothing than problems with it. Do I consider my self technological of an expert? Yes, indeed I do.

So wise up , and don't be a brown noser. Happy New Year to all of you and Thanks for your honest opinionl

Clearly, it must be a terrible product based upon your opinion. Do you even own one? Well, the market must agree with you, wait it doesnt. The ipod is the single greatest selling mp3 player of all time, maybe the best selling music playing device too. Do you have any other mp3 players to compare it to? Or are you just sniveling?

What makes you think Apple isnt aware of what problems there are? Do you think its because the ipod is their second most important product line?

You can always file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau http://www.bbb.org/, contact the retailer you purchased the device from, or contact directly the manufacturer http://www.apple.com/

Good Luck!!!
