I drove to San Francisco, California from Seattle in a day so yeah, I think you can if you don't stop to eat (we brought food) or to pee all that often.

Sure thing, if the cascade passes are clear of snow. Take highway 90 east all the way to Coeur d'Alene. It is 282 miles from Seattle to Spokane, Wa. and then another 35 miles to Coeur d'Alene. Total mileage is 317 miles. If you are going 60 miles an hour the total time would be just a little over 5 hours. But you will more than likely be traveling alot faster once you clear the cascade range and get through Ellensburg. Here you can put the pedal to the metal and let er' rip...BTW, Coeur d'Alene is a hip, partying, college town.. Have fun!!

Where are you driving from? I've made the trip from Seattle to Montana quite often in less than a day. Coeur d'Alene is on the way and is about a six hour drive from Seattle.

I drove from Seattle almost to the Idaho border and back to Seattle twice within a couple of weeks. Once you get over the Cascades, the drive becomes VERY boring. For about two hours, in the middle of the state, all I could get on my car radio was some feeble, local area religious station. Be sure and take along CD's or cassettes or whatever you can play in your car. And, be sure you're not tired when you leave home.

Yes if the mountain passes are open, no if they are closed. Around 5-6 hours under good conditions.
You can check travel times between two cities on Expedia website:

From Seattle, yes. It will depend on the road conditions at this time of year. I would give yourself at least 8 hours.

Unless you're driving 20 miles an hour, you should make it with at least 12 hours to spare.
