Why don't you give your boy or girl a name that reflects their gender and give them asexual nicknames or names that can be shortened to asexual diminutives? That way they can choose what they want to be called later on in life. I'm not sure your little boy will want to be confused for a little girl he goes to class with, or the other way around.
