Sixth sense is prevalent in all human beings and in some animals. It is called Equilibrioception or sense of balance is one of the physiological senses. It allows humans and animals to walk without falling. Some animals are better in this than humans, for example allowing a cat (as a quadruped using its inner ear and tail) to walk on a thin fence. All forms of equilibrioception can be described as the detection of acceleration.

It is determined by the level of fluid properly called endolymph in the labyrinth - a complex set of tubing in the inner ear.

When the sense of balance is interrupted it causes dizziness, disorientation and nausea. Balance can be upset by Meniere's disease, an inner ear infection, by a bad head cold or a sinus infection, or a number of other medical conditions. It can also be temporarily disturbed by rapid and vigorous movement, for example riding on a merry-go-round.

Most astronauts find that their sense of balance is impaired when in orbit, because they are in a constant state of free-fall while their rockets are off. This causes a form of motion sickness called space sickness.

Equilibrioception in many marine animals is done with an entirely different organ, the statocyst, which detects the position of tiny calcareous stones to determine which way is "up".-

I do. It's not very reliable because I don't use it often, but it pops up sometimes anyway. I mean, it's reliable when it happens...but I can't just call on it at will. So I never know when it's going to come through.

It really is like a sense--I get knowledge as though it's coming from any other sense, like the 5 "literal" senses. It's not weird or spooky at all.

The sixth sense is also called ESP or extra sensory perseption. The body naturally has Five senses in whice to percieve the world around them; sight, smell, touch, taste, hearing. The sixth sense usually refers to the super natural or the ability to sence other worldly things (i.e. gosts and spirits). It also refers to the ability to percieve things just before they happen, like spidermans danger sence. People with reflexes faster than the normal human are considered to have a sixth sence.

When people usually refer to a '6th sense' they're talking about psi- related abilities like Empathy and Telepathy.

And yes, everyone has the capabilities inherent - it's wired in our brains. Whether it 'turns on' is a combination of circumstance and intent.

A lot of people have higher than the five sences.

As a child I had a lot more than just the 6th sence.

I was clairsentient, clairaudient, and clairvoyant.

I shut down those because of the beatings I received; but over the years ny my Christian guardians.

I regained clairsentience, and clairvoyance; but I have not regained clairaudience yet.

Oh yes! Everybody does. Some more than others, like any talent or ability.

I bet you've got a good amount, cause' something motivated you to ask!

And that is often a sign. Let it help to guide you through you're life. It will add great meaning to you're life, too. Happy New Year!

And remember to exercise and strengthen you're ability by paying attention, listening to it, and possibly trying some exercises, like with cards. Good luck!

Yes, but you are setting us up here. Trust your own instincts. We all have a 6th sense, it matters to what degree we accept it though. It's not nice to try to fool people, dear, is this a New Year's prank?

yes. while some people are actually gifted with the sixth sense, for a lot of us it is psycology. the truth is that if we have good feelings about something we tend to be more motivated to achieve success in that thing and if we feel bad about it we usually don't give it our best shot and something unfavorable happens. Then we say i had a feeling tat a will fail in that thing. it is a phycological thing for a lot of people

Everyone has a 6th sense. It is your intuition, all you have to do is listen to it and develope it. Try meditation and don't blow off the things that seem unrational to you and above all don't be scared.
