I would say thay are about the same but I am leaning to Geaes of war because you can do more stuff in the game

I've read a ton on both games and from what I hear Gears of War is the better game. Gears of War is arguably the prettier game both technically and artistically. The online play is supposed to be a lot better than Resistance. Also, it seems like Resistance just follows the typical FPS template without adding anything new. Gears of War is a 3rd Person Shooter where you primarily hide behind an object and then peek out and shoot. If you wanna see the games in action, go to www.ign.com and find them.
Resistance: Linear FPS
Gears of War: Fun online, fun offline, good co-op gameplay, killer-ap for the 360
If you're looking at either game, also consider Rainbow Six: Vegas.

i believe both games are amazing. G4TV gave both 5 out of 5, so u should get both. from my own experience. the graphics are better on GEARS, but the online is better on RESISTANCE. RESISTANCE takes longer to beat(18hrs) while GEARS is pretty easy(7hrs). the good think about GEARS is that it looks great as a third person view while RESISTANCE looks like any other 1st person shooter. good luck deciding.

haven't played fall of man. Gears of war story line is a little weak
