It depends on the relationship and the person, either way is fine as long as their is respect and an understanding. But there is a huge difference between making love and sex, I pick making love because of the passionate and the connection.

Yes I could and do make love without it meaning that.
I have never felt the emotion of love when I do, though.
So most of the time it's just sex.
No love at all.

I'm not a very emotional person, so that word is rare in life. Not that I want it to be rare, I just don't react to it properly so that's why I prefer to be away from it.
Don't blame me though. I'm not intentionally cold, it's just how I was born. I see it as an emotional handicap.
