There are currently 27 nations in the European Union.
Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Denmark, Ireland, United Kingdom, Greece, Greenland, Portugal, Spain, Austria, Finland, Sweden, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Bulgaria, and Romania are all in the European Union currently.
Bulgaria and Romania were added TODAY [January 1st, 2007]. They are the latest members to join the EU.
