Since they were apart of the AFL ,were they only considered super bowl champs, or were they also NFL champions?

No, they were Super Bowl champions. Baltimore and Minnesota were NFL champions those years.

Only after the merger was the Super Bowl champion the NFL champion.

both becuase obviosly if u win the super bowl it means that u were the best team it doesnt matter what the records say obviosly if the records told the truth then we would already know who is going to win the super bowl this year
