I have a socket 423 Pentium 4 1.3ghz and I was wondering whether I could replace it with any other socket 423 processor? Thanks for helping me out

Chances are that you can, but you do want to make sure that you are using one of the same voltage level. Some older boards will let you configure this setting, and some of the newer ones wil do it automatically. Best bet is to check with the manufacturer of the board and use their recommendations. Most mobos will support a range of processor speeds. Check your manual to see how high it will go.

yes you can, as long as your motherboard supports it. I would recommend going to your motherboards website to see if it will support the processor you wish to replace
