I was supposed to start Dec 10th give or take a few days. I don't have a DR. appt till Jan 9th. But my lower back has like a dull ache and I am constantly burping. And my breasts are really tender. My lower stomache, like almost where my pelvis is at has little twinges of pain, (its not cramps) but i heard that could be ligaments starting to stretch...is all this normal and how far long could I possibly be with all these signs?

I always knew when I was pregnant within a few days after conception. That is not the norm.. but was for me. Within 2 weeks after conception I was already gagging when I brushed my teeth with toothpaste. One time, I even lied to the nurse just so I would get a test taken. Told her I was a week late, because if you are not late, they won't see you. I never got cramps anyways with my periods, so not sure what they feel like, but when first pregnant, I would get twinges in my abdomen.. like my uterus was growing. You could very well only be a few weeks pregnant. And, keep in mind, it is not common for women to get pregnancy signs so early, but it happens to some of us.

You are only around 6 weeks. The easiest thing to do is go under BabyCenter and do the Pregnancy Calender. It will go off the very first day of your period and you count your weeks from the day your last period started. They usually do not get you into the Dr office until you are far enough along that they will be able to see the baby or the heartbeart. Best of luck!

all of the signs except for ligament stretching can occur in the first month or two. The cramps you feel are normal. If or when you get ligament stretching it will probably hurt alot. mine did. Your Doctor will date you from the time of your last period. So, if it was November 8th, your due date will be exactly 40 weeks from that. unless your ultrasound says otherwise.

If the boobs hurt more than normal, that's a good sign. Also cramping similar, but not quite the same as normal cramps.

As far as how far along you are, assumpting conception took place 2 weeks before your period was due, I'd say about 5 weeks.
