disgusting and illegal,it was a lynching nothing less he was only hanged because the crazy cowboy and the idiot blair wanted it. it will do nothing to help the deplorable situation in Iraq that was caused by blair and bush..it will only make it worse...how many must die before the world wakes up to the fact that the illegal invasion of Iraq was for oil for America? no amount of rhetoric will make a blind bit of difference...i am totally and utterly disgusted to call myself British and an ally of America

saddam should have been hung nobody has the right to take life.
but if the precedent has been set hang bush and blair. the world leaders dshould take note. you don't get hung for gasing 100,000 people only order someone else to to shot 147 people for you. bushes over seas politic and free trade kill more people and countries than getting hung for 147 murders

Think what you like about hanging but his suffering is over now
(unless you believe in hell).

Personally i would have preferred him to rot in a stinking jail cell for the rest of his days.

I'm not convinced it was the best thing to do, they'll probably be lots of retribution and more spilt blood.

Thats my opinion but i'm not religious and can see why the people in iraq wanted him hanging to pay for his crimes.

I think it was too good for him but think about it...

A life sentence in jail is nothing more then "oh no! he'll be bored for the rest of his life!!!". The man killed thousands of mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, babies... Of so many lost loved ones, is a life sentence of bordum really a 'fair' judgment? What would be fair other the making his give up the same thing he made others give up?

I think the Iraqi Government have shot themselves in the foot.
He was never tried for all his crimes.

If he would have had a proper trial and found guilty then hung in a proper execution then that would be a different matter.

I think it should be viewed world wide, over and over ,for say a coupla months, placed in school classrooms for all to see, talked about in open forum,so that all may appreciate the results of "evil" traits...couldn't hurt, Let the tough lessons begin......

I think its good and bad in some ways. There are possibilities of attacks on American soil now, just because we could have upset a lot of people by killing him. However, now we are showing that we really mean business, and if you mess with us your not gonna last.

I had not heard that he was hung. Heck, he killed most of his victims after raping them, so how would any one know if he was hung or not?

Anyway, he's dead now, so who cares?

We bombed his country and hurt inoccent people so i think it should not have been him being hung and if they were not looking for Suddam they could have caught Bin Ladden.
