When I try to register my serial number on the Nintendo website, I keep getting a message that its an invalid number. Does anyone have a clue why or where I can verify which number is the serial number? I purchased this system brand-new in an unopen box, so I don't suspect foul play here.

when you BUY the DS, the store is supposed to scan the serial number - and then when you register it, the site will know who now owns it, and where they got it - many times, the store never scans the item, and after the sale is made, it can't be scanned.

at least, that's how i understand it works..

also, the serial number on a system starts with two letters - and the last letter/number is in a box

Make sure to put it in exactly as it appears (case sensitive). If you are still having problems I suggest contacting the manufacturer for details.

Remember, the serial number should be an 11 digit alpha-numerical code located on the outside of your Nintendo DS Lite box and on the back of your Nintendo DS.

Make sure when you are registering that you check the box next to the code you are entering. That could give you problems also!
