Clotting isn't that unusual but if it's unusual for you, talk to your doc. You're 38, things are changing. Can you compare notes with your mom? In other words, when did she start going through the change. I know, I know, you're still young. But I started when I was thirty. Things just started changing, a lot! The change is just that. You're body gets all confused. My mother had a hyst. very young so I couldn't compare what was happening to me with her. You obgyn needs to know now so she can track your changes. They even have a name for it these days. Peri-menopause I think. You should be able to find it on any health website. The link below was the first thing to pop up on google. Go see your doc! Good Luck!

Everyone is different. Until I was 30 I didn't have any symptoms of my period. I mean I had no PMS at all. My period would come and go in 3-4 days. I am now 36 years old and I have back pains, headaches, and I am very irritable 2 weeks before my period is going to begin. I am also very bitchy. I will chew anyone out in a heartbeat if they piss me off. I also get weepy. I can watch a hallmark card commerical and start crying. lol I get clots alot too. Sometimes they are so big they scare me.

It changes like anything else. See your doc if you are concerned.

My wifes' pmt has changed over the years. Early on and she was just irritable. Then she sometimes threw things at me. Now she just gets irritable again but might lock me out of the house for a few hours. Still love her and she hasnt killed me yet.

don't be too shy to show us younger guys some love. many of us like older women, and don't mind having sex in the shower while you're on your period, blood clots and all.
