Check with an extension service office there and they should have it mapped out where the different types of soil are. I live in the San Joaquin Valley and I took a soils class and one can even find different soils in the same field. I suspect over there that the soil is different up in the hills than down near the waters edge. Go on some excursions around there and gather some samples where the topography is different.

Look for dredging companies. They'll be digging up all kinds of all three soil types.
