I believe you'll find that if your motherboard supports AGP graphics that it won't support PCI eXpress. It's an 'either/or' situation. You wouldn't normally have two graphics adaptor slots on the same motherboard. (Though, you could, of course, use one of the original PCI slot cards. You'd need to change the selection within your computer's BIOS, to let it know which card it should be reading. The different slots for AGP and PCI eXpress look slightly different, and have different lengths.)
As a point of interest, PCI were the earliest of the three type of slots mentioned, and are the slowest. AGP was next, and PCI eXpress is the latest.

Actually there are motherboard that have PCI-E AND AGP slots. On like the uli 1695 chipset has both types of slots that can run at full speed. But there are very few motherboards with this option. As for AGP vs. PCI-E, they are actually about the same speed (proved over and over by reviews).
The best AGP card that can be used is the Radeon X1950 PRO.

A MotherBoard has either AGP or PCI Express slot but not both as PCI Express is faster than both PCI and AGP.
AGP slot is introduced when there is only PCI Bus so as to accelerate graphics performance as it is faster than PCI bus but now PCI express is faster than AGP so no need of AGP port
so we cannot find both AGP and PCI Express on a single board

You can find out by opening your computer case and should say it right next to the slot if it has a PCI Express slot or you just go on the site of your brand motherboard an put in the code of your motherboard.

If it supports AGP, it's pretty well certain that it won't support PCI Express. The slots are a different size - you would have to have two.

As long as you have the PCI express slot and the driver to support it. No problem. U can use either or, but not both.
