that if you eat mintos and drink a coke or any kind of soda at the same time, you will die instantly?, i read this in an email and it showed people put a minto in a bottle of coke, and the coke expolded and was everywhere....have you heard of such thing? i mean who the hell would eat mintos and drink coke at the same time anyway?

actually the soda will explode out of the bottle,have done it as a science experiment for school before(3rd graders),but as for dying while you have a mento and drink coke, never heard that before.Mentos/coke don't even sound like they would taste good together.

that's just a *new* wives tale, just like the old wives tale about mixing coke and pop rocks. BUT here is something to think about. When your car won't crank because there is too much of that white stuff built up around your battery terminals, you can pour coke on them and it helps loosen that stuff so you can clean them easier, PLUS coke eats paint....wonder what it does to your stomache and esophogus after years of drinking it!!

No, it's not true. If it were, there would be MASS warnings on the Coke can and the Mentos wrapper to stop any lawsuits.
Does it work with Pepsi, too? I want to try it... it's an interesting chemistry experiment.

You won't die, but I can't imagine you'd feel very well. They did experiments on Mythbustes with Mentos and different sodas. They actually shot the soda something like 20 feet in the air. It was awesome.

Bottom line is in your last line: What kind of nutcase would do that? I can see trying to put one in a coke to see what happens, but they taste so funky, kind of like toothpaste, can't imagine wanting to ruin a good coke with that! - and no, it's not true.

I don't know but I think they should be a warning on the mentos label, don't eat with carbonate beverages. The coke just explodes, not everywhere though.. I don't think you'll die though.. you could try or have someone try! ;-)

I know that Mentos will explode in a container with Coke. I have no idea what will happen in your stomach. Not going to try it though!

Naa they just make that stuff up to make people scared. Same as those pop rocks that wasn't true...I eat mentos and drink diet coke.
