Start Internet Explorer 6.
On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
Click the Security tab.
Click Restricted Sites, and then click Sites.
In the Add this Web site to the zone box, type the Web address for the site that you want to restrict, and then click Add. Repeat this step if you want to add other sites to the zone.
Click OK.
Click Default Level to set the Restricted Sites zone to the recommended level, which disables Active Scripting.
Click OK.

Hold down the Ctrl key, that will disable the popup temporarily..good luck..

Try google toolbar ..it is very effective is stopping popups .. you can specify whether or not to allow pop ups from a certain site

if u have IE7 , go to the menu bar, go to tools, point in pop up blocker and select pop up blocker settings and then there's a line that says "address of website to allow" and a blank field down. fill in the field with the complete address of the website.
