Broadband fine till Sky installed now it will only work if I unplug the Sky lead from the phone connection which then knocks out Sky!! I have filters as before and nothing else changed. With sky lead in my DSL cable appears not to be connected. Any ideas?

Unplugging the Sky box from the phone line shouldn't prevent it from working. I unplugged mine the day it was installed and haven't plugged it back in since. The only reason you might want it plugged in is if you want to play any of those rip-off games, or order a box-office film.

Make sure each thing plugged in to the phone has its own filter. I think Sky box only has to be plugged in every so often and after 1 year you can unplug it completely if you want.

I would also suggest getting sky to come out and check, they are the ones who set it up, could be a problem with the settings on the box

You need a filter for everything plugged into the phone system, so one on the Sky cable'll do the trick. Usually the BB supplier will have sent you a few spare just for this sort of occasion.

Personally, my Sky landline connection's permanently disconnected as no-one could explain to me why it should be on. As far as I can see you only need it for "interactive" sorts of things

No. Sky's customer service is completely useless. You will get through to a call centre in India after spending 4 hours waiting only to tell you that they won't help or been put through to the wrong department etc. Don't bother. Sky actually overcharged me and when I refused to pay, they cut me off and haven't responded to any of my letters.

Recheck your filter connections , you should have one for phone and one for sky. Not as before!
