No -- for headaches and that kind of thing, take Tylenol.

You may hear about pregant women using aspirin -- some women take low-does ("baby") aspirin during pregnancy UNDER DOCTORS' ORDERS (because of clotting disorders or immunological disorders that increase the risk of miscarriage). Otherwise, absolutely not.

There are some useful websites where you can look up various OTC (over the counter) drugs to see whether they're safe to take during pregnancy. For instance: http://www.safefetus.com/Search.asp or http://www.webmd.com/content/article/51/40801.htm or http://www.providence.org/Oregon/health_resource_centers/Pregnancy_Center/Medication.htm

Good luck.

1) A pregnant lady can do whatever she wants to. She - being of age - can buy cigarettes, walk into a bar, chain smoke and drink vodka martinis until she falls down.

2) It isn't recommended for a pregnant lady to do many things.

3) It isn't recommended for a pregnant lady to take aspirin, especially anything over 81mg (baby aspirin).

However, Acetaminophen (Tylenol) is on the "OK if you've gotta take something" list.

Tylenol only- My doctor just told me last week that Aleve has been linked to babies being born not being able to have their hearts switch over. When they are in the womb the vavle that links the blood to the lungs is closed since they do not breath through them and at birth it is supposed to open, of course. But they have found with aleve it does not open which causes problems of course. I have no idea about aspirin, or what effects that might have on the baby. If aspirin does not work for your head aches talk to your doctor about alternatives they can give you.

NO NO NO NO NO!!! Asprin is a blood thinner, and it's not safe, in any form during pregnancy! Tylenol is safe during pregnancy. Anything that required something stronger should be brought to your doctors attention ASAP! They'll be able to make sure everything is okay, and tell what you're allowed to take, while pregnant. Good luck, and stay away from Asprin!

Absolutely not! Aspirin is a blood thinner, it could cause bleeding. If a pain-reliever is desired, Tylenol should be used during pregnancy.
