Okay Well I love MCR and my dad just deleted all my songs from MCR and he told me it was devilworship music well i was wondering does anybody know the religion of the MCR members. And does anybody know in his music what they are talking about?

No of course not. I'm pretty sure they are Christians. They're music is mostly about fictional stories of demons and devils (well their earlier stuff at least). Now they seem to have grown out of the whole fanastical demon stories and things like that.

My chemical romance is not devil worship music at all. They're just a band singing about life, death, and love, and somtimes revenge. Mikey and Gerard Way both grew up in a Catholic family and by no means worship the devil. If your dad judges a band by first impressions ask him about the band and show him that first impressions aren't always right. I listen to My chemical romance and happen to absolutely love them and by no means do I worship the devil. I heart My chemical romance. Your dad is pathetic - One of the few things you cannot stop a person from doing is listening to a music of their choice. My Chemical Romance is far from devil worship music.. Point him into the ways of bands that actually worship the devil and let him compare.

they're songs are horror movie based and tell a story...it has nothing to do with their real lives, maybe a couple songs do. but they have nothing to do with death. also their newer songs are about living life to the fullest, because when death will come upon you. I do know that some of them are catholic. I know for a fact that they dont worship the devil.

no i dont know, but it seems that they are shying away from the moer darker stuff, like what was on three cheers for sweet revenge, really dark,

no, i definitely dont think their music is worshipping the devil, not sure wher your dad got that from to be honest
i can see why he might see some of their music as bad for you to listen to, because it talks of death, depression, drug abuse etc etc (ive had it all from my parents, so we're in pretti similar situations) but i wouldnt say devil worship. and their latest album, the black parade, is definitely the least "bad" topic-wise of all of them.
as for their religions, im not totally sure im afraid, i think mikey and gerard way were brought up as part of a catholic family. and i know frankie went to catholic school because thats wher he learnt to tie a tie.

No, not at all. In my opinion, their lyrics are really pretty and meaningful. Maybe it's because they talk about going to hell. But not devil-worshipping.
