100 WATTS And You Should Also Have A Heat Rock

Here's a great Yahoo Group with lots of experienced keepers, I'd recommend any dragon owner join.

Now, how big is your dragon and how large is the enclosure? You'll need a heat light (which could be just a regular household light bulb - wattage depends on your dragon and your enclosure) and a UVB light. As mentioned, a Reptisun 5.0 is good, a 10.0 even better. IF your dragon and enclosure are large enough, a Power Sun or Active Heat UVB light would work. I have a Reptisun 10.0 on during the day for UVB light (light only - no heat), and a 100 watt ceramic heat emitter (heat only) on one end 24 hours a day, but I have an 18" dragon and a 55 gallon tank.

depends on your cage. you will definitly need a UVB floresent bulb, incandesent bulbs only produce UVA. repti-sun 10.0 and 5.0 are great for bearded dragons, they need to be no more than 18" way from the dragon and there shouldn't be glass between the bulb and lizard, glass blocks 95% of UV light, screen doesn't help much either. for heating you can use an incandecent basking light(often marketed as "UV" bulbs, but they only produce UVA which doesn't help your dragon) don't use heat rocks as they have a reputation getting too hot and burning reptiles, use either an undertank heating pad or a basking light.

ok, I won't lie, this would get high priced. Now, a 20 gallon for a toddler is physically powerful, you do not choose it too massive whilst they're infants or they're going to sense lost, yet whilst it grows up you would be wanting absolute minimum 40 gallon tank. 50 or fifty 5 is large nonetheless. As a toddler this is sensible to easily use paper towels as a substrate through fact this is the main secure for the little guy. ok, for the lights, you will choose a UVB bulb. definite you decide on it. you may get it a strip easy or the different form, some human beings say the different form can cause them to blind, yet this is in no way occurred. you may get a barren region UVB 10.0 bulb. This easy is going on the same area through fact the basking spot so as that they get UVB whilst they bask. you purely choose another easy for the two warmth and lightweight, it somewhat is the basking easy. positioned it in a dome over the basking spot, and it is going to likely be a hundred-one hundred and five tiers interior the day. It desires to be on 12-14 hours. you do not likely choose the crimson easy, you may desire to apply it the two as a night easy for warmth and viewing, or on the different area of the tank at night in case you think of this is too chilly there. As for what to put in the tank, you purely choose a basking spot, like a bite of driftwood or something, a water dish, and a foodstuff dish for salads. you may in all probability positioned a cover too in the experience that your dragon desires to unwind. i think of this is all you asked approximately, so good success!

First person that answered, thats completly wrong!! You DO NOT use any heat rocks unless you want to kill your reptile. They get waaaay too hot and can burn and the rep.

The light should be a UVB (ultra violet bulb). Regular heat lamps that emitt light don't give that much heat and only light.

It depends on the size of the tank but you need the flourescent lamp and you need a heat lamp, when you pick out the heat lamp pick one that fits the size requirements of your tank, you should also get a dimmer to hook up to the light. On top of this you shoukd get a heat pad or a heat rock of some kind.Zoomed m,akes good lights and products like this.
