There are matriarchal societies...especially in Africa. Women have come a long way in the last couple of generations. In the work world, women will always be 2nd because they get pregnant and take time off to have babies. Since men don't physically give birth, they can more easily guarentee their continued presence at work. That's jsut the way it is. You make it sound like men have been running the world alone though, and that's not true. Womens' influence on things is more present all the time.

I think that truthfully men have never dont it alone.
Women HAVE run things for a long *** time, but we just don't get the recognition.
So, think twice buddy, women have done it better, but we are the silent heroes. We do alot of work without the recognition and we don't absolutely need it, but it would be a hell of a thought to get a little high five every once in a while or something.
Women HAVE done it better, but it scares people to acknowledge that. Society goes along with the whole "men are dominant" thing way too much for women to run the system. Besides, what ever happened to men and women being able to run it TOGETHER and make decisions that are 50-50 and such.
If men have done it super good, and women have done it super good, why not have both sexes doing the job?
The ability to work together could really improve this world.

i wouldnt know about run of the family. unless you're a stay at home dad. other then that I would say(as a woman) we should be doing more to assert ourselves in this world. we fought for the right to vote and look at the country today. hardly anybody uses their right to vote! we need more women running for public office. no matter what political party you are there needs to be more of a balance in the government. but the poster a couple above made a good point even if women did get more of a chance, power would probably still corrupt them.

You only need to look across the pond to see a woman in charge of a country. And check your history, plenty of women have been in charge of their governments. And have led them to ruin or entered into wars. And plenty have women have been the driving force behind men and their doings. And have encouraged men to take those actions. Study your history and stop spouting propaganda. Women are not the benevolent force you make them out to be. Manipulation, deception, jealousy, greed, and self-satisfaction are female traits as well.
It's funny how some of the women here will admit to women controling men behind the scenes, but don't take credit for the messes in the world as well.

Ehh...I'm all for women's rights and respect all that my mothers and sisters have achieved for us women today in the U.S., but you get to the point where men lose their balls. Not literally, of course, but I hate hearing women b**** about how there man doesn't do this or that for them or not act manly enough. Well, ladies, we killed that, not them. So yea I'm all for women presidents and what-not, I'm sure the heart-less women would be great at controlling everything, otherwise we're just very emotional beings and can make things so complicated. Sigh... good luck!

women got us in this state in the first place....remember the garden of eden? Think--Men are made to run the roost---this is the order of things...Though women play an important part and must be valued and respected.

Silly boy! Women do control the world. They just let us think we have a say in the matter. That's one take on it.
Another take? If women want control, they need to step up and take control. Maybe they are smarter than un and realize that taking control is a no win situation.

Well, if you think about it, in most situations, the woman would have to be voted or judged upon to determine if she is a better candidate than her male peers. And most of the time, the person judging or voting is a postering, chauvanistic male. So, even if the woman was better, its still up to that pig-headed man. I think it'll be another few decades before we see more women in power.

No. Women do not make good bosses.
I have had several. They forget compassion and empathy in an effort to be a boss better than any man. All employees suffer under their tyrant way of management.

thats not true.men no longer run the most of the world. women can do absoloutley anything men can. sometimes they can take advantage of that, like when me and my sister are collectively told to do something, and she doesn't do anything, i have to do it, then she says "Just because I'm a woman, you think I have to do everything, you should do it! Men are so lazy! They think women should do everything for them."
That makes me really angry!
