Parasites are organisms that feed of a host and the host dosen't get anything from the parasite in return. Paracites like flukes, tapeworms and ring worms feed off the host but don't want to kill it because if i did the host would die and it would have to find a new host. These fungi parasites need the host dead for it to reproduce so it kills it, the fruting stems grow from the decaying husk of the hosts body spreading this fungus further on to other animals, and no I don't think this could happen to humans because are brains are much more complicated to control, and if they did don't you think scientist would be tring to find a vacinne. It would also probably be on the news and be a great threat. so again no I don't think so.

Parasites are caused by a number of things from contaminated water to mosquitos. Usually people who get parasites are those who have recently traveled to an exotic place. I don't think that parasties do to humans what they do to bugs. There are, however, a number of varying symtoms of parasites. The host doesn't get anything in return.
