I go to the fair each year and get a new magnet to stick on my fridge. It looks like a collage!

Well other than the scab bit, all sounded normal. The spark plug and oil cans were different, until I remembered a guy who collected carburetors, his wife shot him down and he had to put his in the garage. He had them on shelves in the living room. As for the guy with the coasters, they actually should be in the house so they won't get environmental damage. I myself collect ancient and medieval Chinese coins and can't read or write Chinese. I also collect other Oriental coins and can't read or write those languages either. I do have helpers they are called "books". As for magnets they are all over the refrigerator as well as metal cabinets. My wife collects them but I buy a few, that I think are unique, once in a while. You have a fun hobby. I also like dragons and have a collection of them, so Gothic stuff is not that strange either. I like the girl on the TV program NCIS, she is Gothic alright. I am a vet and like poppys and please stay way from psych classes.

I collect magnets too. The front of my refridgerator is all places that I've been. The side is any other odds and ends that don't fit on the front. I collect mugs from each city/state/country that I visit.

I also collect miniature tea sets (started when I was 8 and I'm a lot older than that now) and ceramic collectors plates.

The trick is to find a good storage system or it just becomes clutter and junk.

Good luck with your collection. I bet your fridge collage is very cool!

I 'collect' rocks :) Whenever I go hiking or to the lake I am always on the hunt for a cool new rock, I have even found the ones (sorry can't think of the name right now) that you crack open and find a world of crystals inside! I ended up with so many that I finally got a rock polisher and it's been great fun for me and my daughter, (I even have my hubby bringing home rocks from tiny to large) I love to place them around my garden and some of the pretty ones, purple, black and so on I have around the house. Sometimes I fill a flower vase with the smaller ones, add water and make a flower arraignments, yep no rock is safe from me!

I don't have one myself, and I have known several people who collect refrigerator magnets, so I wouldn't consider that strange. How ever in one of my abnormal psych classes, I read a case study of someone afflicted with a severe OCD. He collected scabs. And not just his own.

I like to collect international coins - not expensive ones - just ones from countries I don't have and/or the ones that look unique.

Not too strange sounding, compared to the scab guy. Ewww.

I have beer coasters from like 15 countries and over 200 different beers I have tasted. I wanted to decorate with them but the wife won and now they are in a box in the garage.

I collect old spark plugs and oil cans. My parents got me started with their collections of license plates and glass bowls from old carburetors. Their license plate goes back prior to 1920's.
