Hey, no fear wouldn't be my first bet, but i guess it doesn't help.
Have you not, ever forgotten what you were talking about mid-sentance, s'real easy to do, and if you don't you must be both young and lucky!
So I guess i'm saying distraction, i found this to be the most useful psychological "tool" in today's world, i use it mostly for my self (as a coping strategy) and sometimes to move others away from a "danger" area, it is a fairly universal principle, but remember not everyone gets distracted the same way.
